Key Broadcasting, owner of 18 radio stations in Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois now have a new name. Its Forcht Broadcasting.

Terry Forcht, who owns multiple banks and healthcare institutions in Kentucky is changing all of the company assets brands to Forcht (Banks) Forcht (Health) and now Forcht (Broadcasting).

Plans to construct a new Class A radio station in Somerset are in the works, plus the opening of a new 1Million dollar state of the art studio in Paintsville are just some of the companies highlights this year.

The new Paintsville studio ironically has 2 FM studio's and 2 AM studio's inside the building...could they be on the buy?

The network includes the following:

COLUMBIA KENTUCKY:
WAIN-AM / Gospel
WAIN-FM / Country

LONDON KENTUCKY:
WFTG-AM / Newstalk
WWEL-FM / Country
WANV-FM / Oldies

HOPKINSVILLE KENTUCKY:
WHOP-AM / Newstalk
WHOP-FM / Adult Contemporary

PAINTSVILLE KENTUCKY:
WSIP-AM / Oldies
WKYH-AM/ Newstalk
WSIP-FM / Country

SOMERSET KENTUCKY:
WTLO-AM / Nostalgia
WYKY-FM / Adult Contemporary

WHITESBURG KENTUCKY:
WTCW-AM / Classic Country
WXKQ-FM / Classic Rock

CRAWFORDSVILLE INDIANA:
WCVL-AM / Nostalgia
WIMC-FM / Country
WCDQ-FM / Classic Rock

OLNEY INDIANA:
WVLN-AM / Newstalk
WSEI-FM / Classic Rock
WIKK-FM / Adult Contemporary

Key Broadcasting do have nice facilities. However, they do have issues with employee relations. Unless it has changed Key Broadcasting has the mentality they own their employees. On occasion, Wage and Hour must remind them of this fact with the periodic fine.

They still are not on-air in Somerset? I turned down that job 4 months ago and they wanted me there and on the air by the end of March! Anyway, Mike Tarter is a class act and will get WTLO and the new 106.1 ahead of Clear Channel in the market. Also, I know Crawfordsville (Indiana) seems to be much better after hiring Dave Peach as GM. I appreciate the time Mike gave me, and felt horrible when I couldn't take the job. Good luck to Forcht Broadcasting!
