Word out of Corbin, Ky is that Key Broadcasting has sold WACF - FM in Paris to Midwest Communications. Deal to be finalized in December. Two and a half million was what I heard for that 50k stick. Anyone hear anything else on this.

Go to www.fccinfo.com. Seek and you shall find. 2.5 mill and 1 mill in escrow right now.

Will they move the tower to Terre Haute? Key wouldn't spend the money. Works at their site near St mary's.

Terre Haute needs another FM.

What about the AM? Sign Off?

Why would they need to? Don't they get a city grade signal into TH from where it is now? However, it wouldn't take much to move the studios.

Makes sense. Midwest dominates in all of their markets, either
by competition or just by buying up all of the stations.
They wouldn't have purchased the station without a plan to
move it in with their TH stations.

Does it have a TH signal? Most of the past managers and talent say no. You can hear it on a car radio but penetration just isn't there.

They put a new ERI antenna up 2 years ago but oriented it using pattern studies towards Danville, IL. (Hoping to keep some of the AG business on their Danville property when it changed format.)

Com Study at that time showed movement towards TH was only limited by what is now Radio Disney. By downgrading to a B1 they theoretically loose population but the 70dbu encompasses TH. At least orient the antenna towards TH. (5 grand)

Studios can be moved now and they will still be in the 70 dbu using tech note 101...
