Just looking for a little assistance. Would someone in Tulsa be willing to tape an hour or two of the Michael DelGiorno (5:30a-9:00a)morning show?

From what's in the papers, you might want to check the District Court. Looks like some airchecks have/or will be filed there.

I am guessing that Bill Christianson could help you out. Seems that he will make Michael's life more difficult over the next few weeks. Does anybody have any insight on the case?

I am guessing that Bill has more power than Michael. What did Michael do to make him file a lawsuit?

I wonder if Journal will defend him or let him defend himself???

What does Michael have against KRMG/Cox? He needs to let it go.

LOL! Wouldn't he just love to know, huh?

Yes, I believe most us in here DO have jobs, and most of us even have them at radio stations. What a concept! Management-types and overpaid talk heads like yourself aught to come slum down here with us commoners at radio-info some time. You might find out something real cool, like, for example, how to make radio stations not suck.

What is this lawsuit about?

Could someone fill me in on what this is about?

But, call me curious, how does that make me overpaid and how can I stop sucking....PLEASE HELP...I need you oh great anynomous radio legend!

Well, to be honest with you Batman, at least his posts make sense. (Misspelled words notwithstanding.)
I mean, after all, there are some posters here on this board who, like Jethro Bodine, seem to be operating with a fifth grade education!

Who? What?

I think "anynomous" means outta sight ... or something.

Outta here.

LOL!

What I'd like to know from the 1170 morning guy is what the overall 25-54 of his station is. Are your ratings overall as good as K95 or KRMG? Hmmm... It's true he's had some good books lately, but "drove his competitor into retirement"? Come on! That's a bit of an exaggeration now, isn't it? Have you considered the other guy was just about ready to retire out anyway, and you got a break?

Morning talent is generally always paid much more than others at a station that are on-air. Keeping in mind that it takes more than just the morning to make a station go, I'd stand behind the statement that he is overpaid. There's others at that station that are making it work also, but this guy is taking the credit for the work. It's NOT all about just mornings.

Formatics?

Hmmmm.....Well, for what it's worth, here's my idea of " quality formatics" for a really good radio show.....

Just make sure that when you're sitting behind your mic, there's an enormous American flag hung on the wall directly behind you. You want the whole world to know what a proud American you are, don't you?

Also, be sure to wear your favorite t-shirt to work everyday! You know, the one that says: "If I want your opinion, I'll give it to you!"---Now there's a t-shirt that needs no explanation! As a matter of fact, whenever you're out in public, just let that favorite t-shirt of yours do the talking for you, my friend! I guarantee you that every person you walk past while shopping at the local Wal*Mart will get the message---loud and clear!

And last, but certainly not least, have a coffee mug on your desktop (within arm's reach) that has a picture on it of both you and the Reverend Jerry Falwell smiling and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with one another.---And even if the photo is a fake, it won't matter much! I mean, after all, it's just a coffee mug! Nobody ever takes the time to examine coffee mugs closely, so nobody will notice if the photo has been doctored up a bit! The fact that you've never met Jerry Falwell before in your life will be just your little secret.

Now, if you can display all of these things properly (and prominently)......When Miss McGowen's fifth grade class comes by your station on a field trip someday, no doubt your studio will impress the kids the most!

I guess that is a attempt at humor....too bad it did not work...Yes formatics, you know, break times, news format, etc... some people are still trying to inform and entertain radio listeners, others try and entertain and inform themselves- nice job 1002

It's all about appearances, my friend! To succeed in any business/line of work, you have to look the part!

Good luck trying to improve yourself and your show!

And no matter where you go in life, or no matter what you end up doing with yourself, just remember to keep one thing in mind......

Whenever you've got Jesus on your side, you can't go wrong!
Because you're never wrong when Jesus is on your team!! :)

Actually in the Winter Book KFAQ did out rank KRMG, M-S, Audlts 25-54, but I'm NOT sure if we did in the recent Spring Book...I know morning's 5:30 9:00 we ranked 2nd and KRMG was 9th or 10th....and I believe K-95 was 3rd. As to Erling's retirement....I think with two years left on his contract (and still being paid I understand) that's a sign it was sooner than both party's planned or wished for.

Again insultant...you are so out of touch....have you considered teaching at a broadcasting school or Community College????

What a SHMO!

I heard the boy got ran out of KS for that very thing. Oh well..

Congrads on your LAST books numbers. It is insteresting that John bailed with 2 yrs remaining, if that is true. I guess the thought hasn't occured to you that possibly John just got tired of messing with it and wanted to retire out. Maybe he got tired of corporate radio.. Who knows? To say that "I ran him out" is still a very bold statement.

I have no intentions of teaching sir. You're the grand poopah of talk it seems. Why don't you go teach your great wizardry to the poor little knowlegeless kiddies? Have you considered you might not make a wart on the butt of a major-market talk show host? Count your successes. Be happy what trailer park the diaries fell in. Some day your arrogance will make you trip, just like it did in KS.

Riddle me this.. What is the lawsuit about? Please! Inquiring minds want to know! Did you open your big mouth and get yourself into trouble?
