From what I hear he was sent packing after becoming too much of a pain in the butt in KC. I believe that's what Cox sent him packing too.

(By the way.. I realize my mistake in a way. KC is on both sides, and really it's bigger on the MO side. So, technically he was run out of both KS and MO, from what I hear. LOL!)

Interesting.

Say, Insultant, who's this DKFNOLA person that started this thread, anyway? He comes on this board as a newbie R-I poster and wants someone to tape some of Mister DelGiorno's show for him for "format purposes" (or so he says). And I proceed to tell him in a friendly-sort-of-way that if he displays his American flag properly and praises the Lord enough, well then, that's all he really needs to know in order to succeed in radio (At least in this part of the country anyway!). He comes back on and tells me I'm not funny. (Sour puss!) Now he's gone!

You know what I think, Insultant? I think this "DKFNOLA" person is actually "DELGIORNO" in disguise!
I think Mister DelGiorno wants to give the rest of us here on this board the (false) impression that there are actually people outside of his listening area that have heard about him and that they honestly like him/admire him!

You're a sneaky guy, Mister DelGiorno!

Haha! I think you're likely right! See! My statement right there has enough loopholes in it I can slither out of the deformation suit soon to be launched against me. Someone please record my keystrokes and use it in a court of law. Hahaha!

The 'ol use of two screen names trick. I'm impressed! (NOT!)

You know, the thing that's working in DelGiorno's and KFAQ's favor is the fact any pub really isn't bad. All the stir causes people to listen, and that's what it's about about. Even if they have pay off the councilman eventually, in a way they'll get more than they pay him just in free ad-time and print space to promote their station via stories ran on the subject thoughout Tulsa media.

No, I would not be him. I was shocked that a radio personality would post something about himself on a website in the market he is in. Kinda sad if you ask me plus that is a great example of an out of control EGO .I have no desire to hear DelGiorno speak, just wanted to hear how the morning show is set-up. No biggie, Bill Handel (who I'm sure does a much better show) gave me a hand....Peace from NOLA baby.

Yeah, but of all of the radio shows that are out there....why his show?
You wanted to know how his show is formatted, right? Was/is there something about his show that you found interesting to begin with (format aside) ?

I do not find his show interesting but for news talk I want to hear how they position the show, stopsets, news breaks, weather, traffic...more interested in the presentation....why? well for some reason his show does have ratings and a news talk show that is not the same 5 minutes of news over and over again in morning drive is interesting to me to see if I can make it work in my market...battling a heritage talker that does the same news over and over for 4 hours...somewhat like the Tulsa market...get it?

Hmmmmm.......

You know something? I still think that you're Mister DelGiorno in disguise.

You're crafty enough (and careful enough) to say things like: "I do not find his show interesting", and I think you do so so as to "throw off that scent of yours"! I also think that you enjoy saying things like: "Well for some reason his show does have ratings...." because it's your way of sticking your thumb in the eyes of your critics (like The Insultant). But rather than say it yourself, and appear to others like you are tooting your own horn in the process, you disguise yourself and you try to come across to everyone else here on this board as some sort of impartial radio guy that's just interested in how DelGiorno's show works.---But along the way, you drop a few quick one-liners about your own show in, as I said a moment ago, a "carefully-crafted, matter-of-fact kind-of-way", just to make it seem like you really are somebody else, such as...."Hey! That DelGiorno guy, he gets good ratings, I'll say that much about him".

Oh, boy!

You're good, Mister DelGiorno! You really are good!

As my mother used to say to me when I was a little boy and got caught with my hand in the cookie jar......

"You're a sneaky little devil!"

Okay man whatever... you might have a unhealthy attachment to this guy that you might want to speak with a therapist about....Im just a radio guy trying to make a living 693.38 miles away from your wonderful little city

693.38 miles?! Hmmm......that sounds pretty concise! Sounds to me like you did a MapQuest check! Are you thinking of moving to Tulsa any time soon (assuming for a moment that you really aren't Mister DelGiorno)?

Mapquest is correct, your good....Moving to Tulsa ? Nah....Did the Denver area for awhile, no desire to be back out that way....Im a southern kinda guy

Just because this needs some fuel.

Isn't DelGiorno originally from New Orleans (NOLA)?

Isn't it curious that DelGiorno knows the winter numbers off the top of his head but just "can't recall" the spring numbers that recently came out?

Since DelGiorno is clearly supporting Chris Medlock, how does he plan to give equal time to the mayor or any other canidate in the upcoming mayoral election?

Has anyone else noticed how large Michael has become? I'm not talking about his ratings. He looks like he has a liftime pass to a casino buffett. Looking like the old, fat Limbaugh does not make you Rush.

Does Saint DelGiorno have some personal weakness? From what I've heard, more than one. If someone has the proof, would you please step up and provide it? Or provide it to KOTV, KTUL, Urban Tulsa, The Tulsa World...

Ran off Erling? Hmmm, the World just announce he has landed at Ackerman-McQueen in the role of Executive Vice President. A job that probably pays more then what he was making and lets him sleep in. A job that Michael could never hold because he's pissed off so many key clients. Say... Why isn't Michael doing the Talons games anymore?

Just wondering...
Edited by Sleepy on 08/20/05 01:15 PM.

Well if you aren't Mr. DelGiorno, I'd guess you're working on Rob Hunter's show at 'TIX in NOLA. The more important thing at this point is that hopefully you're out of there and safe. At the risk of being nailed by those coming back to view this aging post, we wish you the best.

Yes, DFK, hope you're safe and all is well with you and yours!

KJ, why would you be nailed for making a post like the one you made here on this aging thread?
