KFBK/KSTE phone patch left on

I just heard a phone patch left on during the Tom Sullivan show. It's either a patch or another audio feed. I have to laugh when I hear such a mistake. I've heard it happen recently on both KFBK and KSTE. What's up with that?

$8 an hour board ops?

Not even that. I've been told the stations are automated when on syndication.

Obviously, no one in the building is listening. After a few minutes, someone should hit a button. ::)

The first 20+ minutes of Thursday's Michael Savage show (3/29/12) were incorrectly started as Clark Howard. That's a long time for somebody to not notice.

Other times, ads clobber each other and the automated voice that says the time steps on top of the program.

Just what I want as a paying advertiser! (They're playing a lot of times these ads looking for new advertisers on these 2 stations, incidentally.)

Quality, apparently, is extinct.

Looks that way! Is no one inside, or outside the building listening?

I've also noticed several stations running the pay-per-call adds. These are ads with the 1-800 number repeated a gazillion times. "Call right now 1-800-X" then the number about a dozen more times. ::)
