For someone who rants that people don't read you didn't read my post very well. I said it is perfectly legal to charge one client double EXCEPT for political spots that require the lowest unit rate.
Clients can and do pay vastly different rates for the same time, just as people on an aircraft pay different fares for the same seat. Nothing illegal about it. Why should the client who buys a 5000 spot package pay the same rate as a 30 spot buy?

Does "party" mean political party? As in charging Democrats more than Republicans, or vice versa? If you're charging one party's candidate more than the other for the same spot package, that DOES sound illegal...

"Lowest Rate" or "Equal Time" doesn't apply to every candiate or every race.. it only applies to certain state elections and federal candidates.
