KFFK 1390 and KREB 1190

Why was KREB blasting away at 5000 Watts well past 6:30 pm?

Why is KFFK 1390 blasting away at 5000 Watts at 9pm at night and can be heard clearly more then 20 miles away?? They apparently didn't drop to night power.. Hmmmmm.

Gee, for all their emplyoees come on here and say how great their stations are, they can't even manage to get their stations operating with the proper technical parameters.

Methinks this isn't the first time this has happened!
 
It happens on a regular basis. Like I said in an earlier post, nobodypays any attention to those 2 stations, it is all about the X. Sadly enough, that is not going to change. They will get caught by the FCC one day. i am suprised that Kermitt Womack at KURM has not caught that yet and called the FCC himself. It would be like him to do that. The guys at Butler Broadcasting treat their employees like crap, so there is no motivation do do anything over there. There is token pets over there and that's about it. They are above everyonel else, so they don't have to follow the rules. I promise you there will be some lame excues that the switcher didn't power them down. We will wait and see. Ok, that's my rant for the day.
 
This has nothing to do with Grant. I know Grant, and trust me he does not have an ego. This is a matter of running radio stations correctly.

KURM Radio - "KURM" Country...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

What a funny radio station....You guys are right on the ball when it comes to Kermit gettin' upset over other stations bleeding in on the great KURM frequency...

One night in a galaxy far, far away at KFAY...we did not lower the power and KFAY came in over the great KURM Radio..(Does anybody out there have any old airchecks of "KURM's Dial-a-trade" or "Dead Doctor's Don't Lie"???????...those are truly LEGENDARY shows....)...Anyways, that ol' boy thru a tantrum and got really upset!!!!!!...Kermit came into his shift at about 5AM for the morning show ( That is a show!!!!!!...where else can one hear farm reports and GOSPEL MUSIC!!!!!!) and was treated to Art Bell talking about the shadow people...Ol' Kermit called up Cumulus the next day and told us that next time we did not lower the power, he would not call us , but the FCC would...

The point that I am making is that Kermit is a true radio force in NWA and is not one to mess with...And for KURM radio...you gotta love a station that plays the farm news hour, rogers high school football, and for some strange reason..THE SAVAGE NATION!!!!!!!!!!......WHAT IS THAT DOIN' ON THERE!!!!!!!

Just because some of us on here don't like what KURM programs.. doesn't mean it doesn't work for their listeners/advertiser and that it doens't bring in revenue............ if they weren't making money, they wouldn't still be doing it./
 
Hey Radioguybroadcasting. You told me in another thread you are not in the market. So how is it you heard that signal on 1190 blasting after hours? Me thinks your full of SH**.

Maybe I came through the area on my way somewhere else and stopped at a friend house? Did ya ever think of that?
 
Remember you are dealing with an unhappy person who can't admit that the comany he is at has flaws. Think of it as WKRP in Cincinati but here in Northwest Arkansas.

Yeah, thats EXACTLY what happened radioguybroadcasting. And radioaircheck, I am HAPPY here or I would not have stayed. I was offered positions in the past four years with KTRH-Houston, KTRS-St. Louis, and WBIX-Boston. Markets you could not even sniff.
 
After reading all of these threads, it looks to me like somebody is obviously ticked at Butler Broadcasting...

Let's all get back to what we should be talking about on here....and that is RADIO!!!!!!!!....let's stop the bashing!!!!

There has gotta be something else better to talk about than stations not lowering the power!!!!!!!!!!....for instance....I believe that Bob & Tom are in town this weekend....anybody else aware of this, or is everybody to concerned over the strength of the AM signal.....

I had a job interview nearby and decided to stop and visit a friend in the area.

A job interview at WBIX is NOTHING to brag about! That station has been through so much turmoil, I wouldn't want to work there.

You are either driving around in Northwest Arkansas listenening to the AM stations from Butler.....or you are down driving around on Colonial Drive in Orlando talking about some of the AM stations down there...

I am sure that we must've met at some point, because I myself have connections in NWA and Orlando....

Hell, I just came back here from Orlando...

Ah, I haven't been to Orlando in over a year.. what I mention there is from memory. I was in NW Arkansas recently though, visiting a friend as i said..
