KFI finally!

Shortly after the Presidential debate was over last night (10-3-12) I was monitoring 640 and heard a station briefly fade up and the male talk show host (or whoever they were interviewing) say "...that would be enough to fly from L.A. to Pittsburgh..." Not sure if that WAS a piece of KFI I had or something else.

Down here in Cincinnati, WOI in Ames IA is also a pest when DX'ing KFI. They are an Iowa Public Radio station, thus are easier than most to identify. Their 1 kw night directional is sent east.

Keep trying. If you are up, you might try in the early AM before WHLO kicks in.

I was lucky enough to I.D. both KFI & KNBR on the same day in early September 2011, just before my local sunrise. Perfect storm. WHLO, Cuba, South, East, Midwest, all quiet.

Good job, sir! Even if I was running around the woods with long-wires, it would be pretty tough for me to null out Toronto's CFMJ towards that direction. :p
