KFI on IBOC; returns to HDRadio

KFI AM 640 stimulates the airwaves by using the HDRadio 'standard' full time as of today. Everyone who has HDRadio please stand up for attendance count .... wait ... if you don't have HDRadio, stand up.

If you know how to spell HDRadio, please raise your antenna.

(KFI is counted in San Diego as one of the Clear Channel stations.)

For you folks that don't have a Hybrid Digital radio, you can still enjoy the lovely digital buzz hash on 630 and 650 with your lowly analog receiver. Don't mind the telephone bandwidth quality of the analog 640 signal. It's only talk anyway.

Hash is best served at Denny's with the Farmer's Omelette.

Besides knocking 630 and 650 as unlistenable, the bandwidth on the "normal" or analog is clipped since clear fuzzy channel took over.

Although HDRadio doesn't stand for anything, RadeoEngineer is correct: it's a cylon feast: A hybrid digital. Not quite analog, not quite digital.

Thanks for playing.
