KFMB Stations Sold

Funny you should ask, because this sujbect has come up before.
If I recall correctly, back in 96, the old Clear-channel offered to buy out the KFMB's. And the CBS rumor has been around before.

The thing is (and this is just my lowly opinion), with an AM/FM combo (with a JACK FM format), plus a TV station that has a CBS affiliation competing against an NBC O and O, and CBS already owning two stations in the same top 20 market, you have to think that buying the KFMB stations would be very appealing to CBS.
It's my understanding KFMB AM and FM have pretty good billing, and CBS MUST like that.

My question is, would the Meyers family (sp?) aka Midwest Television ever sell KFMB?

Just my lowly opinion, not based on any kind of inside knowledge, and not really anything we can speculate on.

Thanks for the insight garret, but I think the Meyers family will
never sell there stations (no way).
