KFMX Lubbock a Disco station?

Yup, if you believe what somebody posted at KFMX's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KFMX page!

According to this, KFMX was a DISCO station in Minneapolis. At some point, the same owner purchased the former KLBK FM in Lubbock and moved KFMX to Lubbock (which appears to have been a simulcast at some point).

Which means, KFMX's heritage format might actually be DISCO and not ROCK.

Ain't that a kick in the pants?

Ok, maybe not as painful as that ;D, but I found it interesting anyway, since KFMX's current format is so far removed from disco.

KFMX

Actually, before the calls were in Minneapolis, they were on a rock station in Omaha (true story)!

(Feel better now?)

Well, I felt good before...

But was the Denver sation even connected?
From the post on Wikipedia, our KFMX is the same KFMX that was in Minneapolis. Although, I am guessing there is some missing part of the story.
