KFNC/Beaumont....or Mont Belvieu?

I thought that the CP for KFNC to move COL's had to be close to expiring, and sure enough it is. CP expired on 06-20-09, however, upon checking at 9am KFNC is still ID'ed as KFNC-Beaumont/Houston. Has this CP been swept under the rug?

I can't see that the CP would have changed much anyway - coverage looks almost identical.

No, they've refiled the application and I expect the FCC will approve it like they did the first time around. It doesn't call for any notable technical changes since they'll be on the same tower at virtually the same height. But of course, by moving their COL to Mont Belvieu it will place them in the Houston/Galveston Arbitron market.

I thought that the move of 97.5 from Beaumont to Mont Belvieu was coupled with KYKZ moving from Lake Charles to Beaumont. This move would have to occur also?

No, there's no connection; it was a stand-alone application. KYKZ is staying where they are.
