Tuned in about 5:45 this morning to hear Imus as usual, and KFNX was broadcasting "House of Bouge," a local show from WZFG , 1100 AM in Fargo. A male/female team was talking about movies, then started talking about how bad the roads were this morning and how the rain had turned to snow.
After about 10 minutes, KFNX got the Imus show on, but delayed, because they had to drop it in the middle of an interview to catch the TOH CNN news.
The signal was loud and clear, and I could hear the Grand Junction station in the background, so I know it was not a skip. How could this happen?
The only thing I can figure out is WZFG uses an adjacent satellite signal to feed their transmitter, and somebody at KFNX was tuned to that, instead of the Imus signal. What made it weird is that it was on the right frequency.
Or "the beave" (?) is trying to get a translator in Phoenix.
