KFNY 102.9 logo and questions

I cannot find a logo for the Smooth Jazz KFNY 102.9 station that recently flipped to Spanish. What did the imaging sound like? Were there any live DJs? Station events? I really wish I could have heard it. How come they never made it online with a stream? Why on earth create a radio station but never have an online presence for it? What purpose does that serve really?

A. Imaging sounded VERY basic, a male VO saying “The South Sound’s Smooth Jazz station” or variant thereof, along with legal ID’s.
B. No live DJs or events
C. The “stream” for it is the same smooth jazz feed on the iHeart platform (all of KFNY’s playlist came off of that; all songs heard on KFNY were those that aired on the iHeart stream and were played in the exact same order).
D. The station was put into a trust to be sold off; if a company’s doing that, it’s not necessary to build something elaborate that won’t be around longterm. The format was a placeholder until someone grabbed it (in this case, Bustos). I don’t believe iHeart knew how long it would sit in the trust before it was finally bought about a year and a half later.
E. They wanted to remove the alt format off quickly and shunted it on to Jack’s HD2, therefore ending deep involvement with that frequency.

ksradiogeek is correct on just about everything. I should mention at the beginning of the placeholder there were some local ads. By the end it was nothing but national spot buys. South South traffic and weather provided by KING 5 during the AM hours was included. Traffic was 'sponsored by' Zzzquil and Lowe's towards the end of the placeholder.
I should have // to the iHeart SJ stream when 102.9 was still smooth jazz, but thanks for clarifying it as a parallel. Interesting playlist. Very little out of the format, a mix of new cuts and old cuts, and some that I hadn't heard since KWJZ flipped. For example, the XL version of 'Take 5' from 1993, which used to get airplay on 98.9. Ruben Studdard and Fourplay's cover of Love TKO, which I hadn't heard in years...same with Mary J Blige 'Sweet Thing.' At least I didn't hear Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight", like the old KWJZ format...
Helps that I had access to KFNY without any webstream - listening to that fuzzy signal off the Kittitas WA SDR antenna, that's how. SDRConsole software, the AJ7JA SDR near Kittitas, which pulls in quite a bit of stuff.

That’s right! I forgot about some local spots they ran! I’m just basing this all off memory from when I was there last year.

Thought they maybe would last until a month from now when I’m back in the Northwest, but such is life.

Now to wait to see who picks up ‘TDD.

I actually heard a few local adds as well, mainly for events at Seattle Center, I'm guessing iHeart threw in 102.9 when they bought the other stations.
