KFOX rating in March did not improve

KSAN 107.7 The Bone dominates plain and simple. KFOX is just awful and boring. It's more of an "Oldies" format. It doesn't rock.

How many times can you stand to hear Boston, Lynyrd Skynyrd or Layla by Clapton. So stale. The Bone might play those artists but they also throw in deep tracks, metal and new songs. C'mon... Freakin' Layla? And the DJ's on KFOX talk up Layla like it's the first time a radio station has played Clapton. Oh, let's not forget that thing in the morning. Bad, small market radio.

Lame TV commercial as well. "We Will Rock You" by Queen? No one ever needs to hear that overplayed, leftover from the 70's again. Time to flush that turd down the toilet because it's stinking up the entire market.

Some advice to the Bone! Play more AC/DC & Metallica and leave the washed up artists like Kansas, Styx and ELO to that tired old South Bay station.

What the hell?!? ELO? Might as well play Dream Weaver while your at it... Oh I forgot... I think KFOX might have that song in heavy rotation too. God damn! ELO? That's not rock.

It sounds as if their program director is still programming a "Classic Rock" station in 1985. He hasn't evolved with the times and it shows.

radiowhore (love your handle) I agree with everything you've said. I'd be happy to never hear "We Will Rock You" or "Sweet Home Ala-bummer" again for the rest of my life (the Skynyrd is especially annoying in this market; in the South, yeah, maybe, but in SF??)

Unfortunately there are still tons of people who eat this stuff up. Check the Facebook pages or "live chat" forums of any Classic Rock station and you'll see post after post of the "OMG! I (heart) Boston!!" variety. And with people meters, tried & true overplayed classic rock is the new "Lite-FM", least-common-denominator flavor. Sadly.

Couple years ago I was in NY on vacay; I listened to their terminally boring Classic Rocker Q-104. I heard Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion" 6 times in 8 days -- and I only listened for a couple of hours in the morning! It's everywhere.

Like i sad we need to have a new Rock station that play some alternative, hard rock, and little heavy metal.

Or You can listen to Elton John's "Rocket Man" 5 times a day. (not including at night)
 
Entercom is a bunch of Dicks

Just simulcast with KRXQ..besides Sacramento's Rock Station branded California's Rock Station at 98.5 & 102.1
 
A simulcast with KRXQ would be pointless, they simulcasted with 98.5 in San Jose because San Jose is still in the Bay Area. If Entercom wanted to start a Rock Station in San Francisco, It should be completely seperate from KRXQ. Remember, radio is about playing music that people want to hear, not want you want to hear.

Also, If you can hear KRXQ where you live, why do you care so much?

Move to Solano County I get KRXQ on 98.5 While I get 102.1 KUFX. Also I can get KDFC 89.9 fm and 88.9fm KXPR Sacramento where I live.
