The implication was that KFOX to 98.5 HD2/99.7 HD3 was the first step. There's no implication there's only two steps or more.

San Jose has lost so many rock and alternative stations over the years. Looks like 98.5 might soon be joining 104.9, 97.7 and 92.3 unless Connoisseur has a surprise up its sleeves.

Classic rock on an HD-3 channel? That's what... 32 kilobits? Ouch!!

But KMVQ has good coverage in the Bay Area core while KUFX is riddled with multipath in many of those locations, such as parts of Oakland. So this might actually be something of an upgrade for KUFX as far as the audio is concerned.
