No! - John Mack Flanagan...with a K. "Mac Flanagan" is not his last name. His last name is "Flanagan." "Mack," I assume, is his middle name, though it's possible he adopted it on air because it sounds good. One of the best DJ names ever, IMO.

Completely agree. Is it suppose to be Irish or just super cool? :)
 
Sounds cool to me, but I just checked out the Bay Area Radio Museum which notes that he was named after "Western movie legend" John Mack Brown. So it appears that, as cool as it sounds, it is his birth name.
