CBS/SF VP/Programming MIKE PRESTON (who is also CBS VP/MOVIN), adds PD duties at KLLC, in addition to his duties at News KCBS-A, Rhythmic AC KMVQ (MOVIN 99.7), and Classic Hits KFRC.

CBS decides to go with a proven winner!

Yes I agree. Look at Movin' it's Top 5 and KFRC is also Top 5 and KCBS beats KGO Mike Preston is the Golden Child of CBS Radio.

Next trend 25 - 54 will be this

1.KCBS
2. Alice
3.KFRC
4.Movin'
5.KOIT

"1.KCBS
2. Alice
3.KFRC
4.Movin'
5.KOIT"

Mmmm...close, but not quite accurate. Here's my prediction:

1.KCBS
2. Alice
3.KFRC
4.Movin'
5.Live 105
6. KOIT
7. 3 way Tie - KYCY, KGO, and Green 960.

Oh, how the mighty (will) have fallen.

There hasn't been any official memo to employees on this. Where did the info come from? Yes we say it in All Access, R&R and such, but where did they get their info??

Not sure how MP's gonna pull this one off if its true.

It's true, even if CBS hasn't bothered to inform their employees. Preston has already had influence on the Alice music list and removed a lot of songs from their library.

Two questions for which I think I'll never have the answers.
1. What specifically are the duties outlined in the job description for a (CBS or Clear Channel) PD?
I'd love to see a list. Can't seem to discern by listening.
2. What are they really?

One skill every PD needs to have is the ability to convince upper management that it is actually the talents fault and not theirs when a station starts to plummet.
