Yes, they need another escape goat for the consultant that will tank the station. If you'd like to be the next victim contact KFRC!

paging Mrs Malaprop! I believe the word you're looking for is "scapegoat".

Which doesn't really make sense considering they went *up* by .7 in the last book...

Oh. My. God. I think I'll name my new fantasy baseball team "The Escape Goats."

"Quick, everybody! Climb onto the escape goats and let's get out of here!"

Baaa-aaaa-aaaa...

Wobble and listener sampling? I bet they will be down a bit next book!

I don't think KFRC will tank. KOIT plays less 70s music than ever and more artists like Sugar Ray. KOIT becoming more contemporary will help KFRC have a good sized niche.

When I called Tim, his voicemail said he was the Operations Manager of KFRC. But I think he was the PD also, as he was talking with me about a weekend shift. With so many titles these days, I never know who's the PD and who's the APD and who's the consultant. I just send my MP3s to all of them :)

WHY would you BET they'll be down? Based on what? Elaborate.
Marketing? Music? Presentation?

the reason they will fall this montly is because they dropped all TV, no marketing and losing the biggest monthly they will be in the 2.0 range IF they catch a book or two. The station is not working.

"The station is not working"
Not working for who?
Because the Fall book said KFRC is working pretty well.

I'm only interested, as an out of state PD, following their progress
as a 70s based Oldies station.

Is their music mix off. Lethargic presentation. No hole in the market.

What's the real story?

The real story is KFRC had one Big month Phase 1 of the fall book(the month
that they ran TV) then dropped back to where they were before in both Phase 2 & 3.

The music and positioning statements change week to week. 60's & 70's to '70's & '80s then 60's & 70's. The sales dept. is telling clients that there is
only '70's & 80's music on the station while the consultant has been adding more '60's back in latley.
