KFRC Slogans

When I hear all the liners that were cooked up way before the first record played on the current KFRC, I have to wonder, do you know of anyone who says "KFRC picks me up and makes me feel good"??? I don't think so. And yet they were on the station 30 minutes or less into the new joke of a format. I am really looking forward to the down turn of 99.7. Again Infinity blows it big time!

I haved to agree, those liners are lame, more
importantly they tend not to work. Stations
which have to explain what they do in long
sentences are in big trouble. Compare that,
with Jack or Bob's "We play what we want".
KFRC's music per se isn't bad, but the
station has no personality or attitude.
People like Sue Hall simply fill up space,
these recycled journeyman hacks have done
as much to ruin the KFRC vibe as anything.

> Yes - the new format sucks. The slogans, and even the voice over guy sound generic and dull - no pesonality at all. But given that the PD's stated target is KOIT's audience, this shouldn't be a surprise. I have to defend Sue Hall though - she's talented and used to be fun to listen to. I think she's just phoning it in now. Even the great Bobby Ocean wasn't himself the last year or so he was on the air at KFRC. It must be depressing working there. To me, the "hacks" are the second string fill-in jocks that are on every day now - Tony Michaels in particular with his odd diction ("Key-Eff-Oarrr-See"...where did HE come from?) and razor-voiced Paula Kelly. Steve Jordan's very KOIT-like, but pleasant enough, I guess. And then, there's Cammy...

You're right, it's often tough to fake it, when you know
its all going south. I Heard Tony Michaels, sounds like
a part-time all night guy or something.
