KFRC-What they should've done

Upbeat 70's-80's hits. Pop, soul, rock. Consider what 610 KFRC played
when it was new. Call Dave Sholin. He knows what the hits are better than
anyone else. Bring back that legendary KFRC shotgun jingle! Bring back the
personality! Bring back the BIG promotions! If you want younger demos with a gold format, this is what to do. Men and women 35-50 would eat this up. Play that "nostalgia" card, but sound "NOW". Here's a sample of what I hear in my head...

"Superstition" Stevie Wonder
"Somebody's Baby" Jackson Browne
"Ladies Night" Kool & the Gang
"China Grove" Doobie Brothers
"Upside Down" Diana Ross
"Young Turks" Rod Stewart
"Super Freak" Rick James
"Tiny Dancer" Elton John
"Lady You Bring Me Up" Commodores
"More Than A Feeling" Boston
"Little Red Corvette" Prince
"I Need A Lover" John Mellencamp
"off The Wall" Michael Jackson
""Send Her My Love" Journey

KFRC

Sounds pretty close to what they are doing- you have more 80s, they have more 60s hits but their playlist looks great to me.

The problem with making ratings predictions

> They will end up with a 1 share in the fall book! Mark my

... is that the 12+ ratings don't matter, and that is undoubtedly what the poster will want to cite.

And if KFRC goes above a 1 share, will the original poster call it a fluke?

I say it over and over: Making predictions will affect your future credibility if you're wrong.
______________

Re: The problem with making ratings predictions

Future credibility should also be affected by posters who post two threads a day about nothing but junk.

But it sure doesn't seem to affect their credibility.

Oh, it does. The people who repeatedly post "junk" are usually the first to be "trashed" by the regulars.
______________

In general, I like that playlist and if it is sounding similar, sounds good to me. I wish there was this type of station where I live.
______________
