KFRH 104.3 Now FM adds Rick Dees to Mornings

According to All Access, Ed Stolz has added Rick Dees for mornings in Las Vegas, San Francisco and Palm Springs. Starting Monday May 6, Rick will be on KFRH 104.3 Now FM. I wonder if Rick is still recycling the same stale 20 or 30 year old bits. Syndicated morning shows (other than Stern's history) have never done well in Vegas. It will be interesting to see if they get a ratings bump due to Dees, or a dip because of the lack of music.
 
I guess Ed didn't realize that Dees has already been on in mornings in Vegas years back. That was the old KISS-FM and obviously it didn't work. That station (101.9) is now Spanish and now operated by Lotus and you Demo Dave. Honestly, it will ruin NOW. I'm sure the other Top 40 PDs and staff are celebrating this announcement. Rick has been an amazing talent for many years, a career that should be admired by everyone in radio. But he no longer relates to a young Top 40 demo.

As far as Heidi goes, I would love to be a fly on the wall for future conversations between Ed and Heidi...
