Heard Chuck McKinnley on 104.1 The Ranch in Tyler say that KFRO 1370 will begin simulcasting "The Ranch" at midnight on Sunday. Longview has been without a classic country station since 103.1 sold and went to talk.

KFRO's audio has level issues that hopefully can be overcome. It's a shame there is no FM station that could be utilized for format.

I had heard they were going to do that, though I had heard Tom Perryman say it would be the 15th.

103.1, as far as I know, is still being LMA'd by Waller and was not part of the big Waller/Access.1 deal from earlier this year.<P ID="signature">______________

The sale was completed and approved by the FCC a few weeks ago. The two Hunt stations, KXAL and KDVE are now Waller properties.

Hmmm...thanks for the update! I had heard he might buy some stations. Any idea as to how much these two sold for?<P ID="signature">______________

It's still a waste of that frequency and hardly "The Voice Of Longview."<P ID="signature">______________

Agreed. The once Voice Of Longview has now suffered a lifetime case of laryngitis. Call it, "The Voice-less of Longview!"<P ID="signature">______________

Or maybe it's the Voice of Longview--three octaves higher. And we know what can cause that. That's basically what happened when Curtis sold to Sunburst. The day the new owners came through the door, they began sharpening the knife for KFRO-AM.
