KFRR needs to go back to being more alterative

KFRR should go back playing ALTERNATIVE like LIVE105.3 and KCNL 92.3 in the Bay Area instead of trying to compete with KRZR. Live 105 is now mixing in CLASSIC MODERN like 'How soon is now" by The Smiths, just one example ,it's being dicussed on the SF board right now, there ratings are far lower than now before they used to be ALTERATIVE, sure losing Adam , going back to Kevan and Bean didn't help them. Any thoughts on this one?
 
I'm a big Smiths fan but the Smiths, The Cure, Echo & The Bunnymen etc. aren't the answer. There is an audience for that music but it's too small to be commercially successful in Fresno. That music just doesn't test here.
 
I gotta agree with Ken. Why not try it? Ratings can't get much lower. Smart move would be to move 104.1 to 105.5... and do something more mass appeal with that much bigger 104.1 stick. Even though KSEQ sounds much more Top 40 than they used to... theres still a hole for it. Look at the AMP/POWER/KIIS battle in L.A.

The thing is a multi Genre Top 40 would not work here, It may work in LA and SF with Movin', Wild and KCML but not here , much like AAA will not work here, It's either R&B/Hip Hop or Rock.KWYE 101.1 tried it and it didn't work, Now KWYE is at best with Hot AC rock, KRZR with the current hard metal and 104.1 KFRR with Alternative hard rock, and KKBZ is the best Classic Rock ,and of course I have been rantin and ravin with Classic Alternative from the 80s but I know it will never happen.
