KFSA-AM Fort Smith

Last couple of times I have gone through Fort Smith, KFSA-AM 950 has been simulcasting KISR 93.

How long has this been going on? I know Fred Baker owns KFSA, but it just seems weird to hear CHR on AM in 2011.

Since just before Christmas 2009 if I remember correctly. They briefly did All Christmas on 950 one year. I didn't listen to see if they did that this past year.

Wasn't KFSA at one time known as "Praise 95" & playing religious music?

They were "Praise 95" for about fifteen years or so. KFSA was leased to the Lynch family that owns KZKZ for a number of years. It may have been closer to twenty years, because I can remember when I was younger my grandmother would switch between Praise 95 and "The Gospel Giant, KWHN" on 1320. That's been soooo long ago.

Mr. Lynch died a couple of years ago. I believe KFSA was given back to the Bakers shortly before his passing.

I could be wrong on my timing, but that is in the ballpark.
