KFWhyEye Online

Because the Gremlin is in the shop, Nurse Jeff and I tried KFWhyEye on line and were quite surprised at the audio difference between 5~Fifty and Al Gore's invention. There's absolutely no presence to the audio that you normally get from Ancient Modulation or FM. And the levels are all over the road. Sometimes it's hard to hear what is being said by a host, or the production bed overpowers whoever is talking. Obviously the feed originates several miles before the audio processing gear. With internet listening on the rise, KFWhyEye could stand to pay some attention to the quality of their streaming product.

What was that you said? I couldn't hear you. ;D

Most employers block media feeds over the Al Gore's invention. I wonder how many listeners actually use the online feed. There might be a reason relating to lack of online-listeners as to why the audio quality is sub-par.

Its pretty bad. KTAR 620 is pretty good though, I was able to pull in some Sun Devil's games last year when I was in Hanoi. Nothing like ASU vs U of A at 8 am in a bar, eating pho ga !

(a little off topic)
Doc,
I saw a AMC Pacer that was restored (about a '72-'75) painted "Grape" color for about 5 grand. It even has a great radio in it... (HD RADIO)

Thanks for the DX on that Pacer...glad to hear AMC's superior styling lives on!

Back to topic. Today KFWhyEye's online audio has that hollow tinny sound like Joe Crummey doing his show on KT'R live from el Lay. The Nurse and I know The Nearly Bald One aint 400 miles away from the studio...but it sounds it!
