KFXK-DT NOW SIMULCASTING KLPN

KLPN will be the MyNetworkTV affiliate for Tyler-Longview.

It's nice to see that KFXK is finally taking digital TV seriously. They apparently have their HD equipment on order and should be up with Fox 720p sometime in the next few weeks or months. HD for the start of NFL season would be nice, but I don't have my hopes up for that.

I wonder if they plan to cut off analog 48 and 58 now? There can't be too many people watching it OTA. I live 7 miles from the channel 58 transmitter in East Mountain, and can at best get a snowy picture using a Channel Master 4228.

I can't even get KTPN 48 OTA on my outdoor antenna......

Now all we need is for KETK to also go HD and to add some digital subchannels......I'd love to see them simulcast KCEB since they are full power and nobody can get them OTA unless they live in Longview......

In KETK related news, KETK relaunched 56.1 as 1080i yesterday.......however, we have seen no effects since they broadcast Leno and Conan last night in 4:3 format instead of HD....don't know if they have their HD Pass Thru Equipment from NBC put in and running.
