KFXR 1190 Audio Distortion

Its truly hard to understand why a business that offers nothing but audio would not care what they sound like! The distortion gets better or worse, depending on the program material, but is generally unlistenable in my opinion. Since it sounds great on the I-Heart stream, I assume that the transmitter is sick.
 
Noticed that myself for the past week or two. Even replaced the batteries in my radio thinking they were going dead because it makes similar distorted audio when that happens. Call or email the station.
 
It amazes me that they'd leave it that way in a market as large at Dallas-Ft. Worth. With that being said, I'm guessing just a few engineers have to deal with the entire cluster of stations and quite frankly 1190 isn't exactly a big concern.
 
Is the distortion there both day and night? Separate transmitter sites. If one and not the other, it would be a studio problem.
 
Sounds like they finally fixed it. Wonder how many listeners they lost with three weeks of garbled audio?
 
I only noticed it on the day pattern. They sounded fine at night. Glad to "hear" it's been fixed. ;D
 
What are they going to do with that station...I mean really? This could be the most discombobulated major market 50kW large corp owned station in the nation. Laura Ingram, Wall Street, diet pills, war talk, Pugs and Kelly, Hank Williams Jr and The Judds, Real Estate, Mike Savage, then more Judds/Reba, then overnights with the lap band Doctor.

Would be great if it could be music, live DJ's & news at the top of each hour once again. But....
