KFYI Automation?

Lately KFYI have had a "spate" of carrier without modulation, double audio feeds etc, late night, I thought the FCC had some regulations about these operational failures, or is it just another spiralling down of technical quality of commercial radio in the USA?

I too have heard--during the :00-:06 period late at night, the Premiere Network
feed (running C2CUFO promos) mixed with TOH Fox News and 55/FYI's canned
local newscast.

You know it's canned when they don't give the current temperature (there's
a "Gary Bruce traffic/WX during the Snoozeroom joke there somewhere" ;D),
besides, the anchor may be heard from 7:30pm-4am (per their website) but
she's not live after 11 or 12.

i think it's in the can after 7:30.

i heard up to five audio sources at the same time on 550; top and bottom of the hour after 7:30pm, for two plus weeks. ..there was even a few koy legal id's mixed in there.

you know the news is in the can when the anchor starts the newscast, the audio stops, and then the newscast audio starts again from the beginning.

for being the valley's top talk station, it's surprising to hear so many tech issues on the station. i only listen to 550 for savage. ..when he goes to break, kfyi may play a spot, promo and then rejoin the network in the middle of trn filler promos for a couple minutes. ..or the rejoin network and michael is already a couple minutes into his talk segment.

what a disaster!
