KFYI: Canned Network News

I'm pretty sure the Fox News that aired on KFYI at 10 AM was a half-hour old,
even though Fox feeds at the TOH. Probably the update from 9:30. (So what
Foxcast did they run then?) Wonder why they couldn't run the live two minute
newscast (instead of the delayed one minute version)? To many gold spots and
other Nearly Bald One testimonial spots to get in the six minute window that
they usually run past anyway?

Oh, the indicator that it was not live: the Fox anchor mentioned two events in
Tucson that would be "starting in about half an hour"--two events that began
at 10 AM. ::)
 
I always thought Tucson was a half-hour behind Phoenix? That's how it looked when we blocked the PAT/FG in the last football game anyhow. UofA's offense was a bit flat footed and asleep on the field. Why should the news be any different? ;D
 
KFYI had the same M.O. at 11 AM--ran the half-hour old one minute Fox BOH update.
(Similar dated references to ongoing events.)

BTW, the KFYI BOH headlines are local anchor only, without the live Fox news update--
this based on what ran at 11:30 AM.
 
Caught a few minutes of Barry Young this morning, wow, he really has become a dick.
 
Why then do so many people want KFYI on FM? ??? I believe people would enjoy sports on FM much more than old news updates and angry talk-show hosts. Better yet, why not put the Lumberyard on FM! ;D
 
KFYI is supposed to be a major station in a major market. I would strongly suggest it start acting the part instead of being run like a college radio station.
