95.5 could be on their backup power (29kw instead of 100kw), although I wouldn't really know why. For a talk station, the quality usually doesn't need to be super robust, so they generally don't. Hey, with 550 AM, you could listen to KFYI as far as Flagstaff and TucsonLast year, we had prefect reception of KFYI HD2 driving around Mesa. This year, KFYI/HD2 drops in and out as we drive around Mesa. Has something changed on 95.5 HD2? I keep having to listen to the lower quality 550 AM instead of the higher fidelity KFYI HD2 on 95.5.
And, of course, beautiful Quartzite.Hey, with 550 AM, you could listen to KFYI as far as Flagstaff and Tucson![]()
@DavidEduardo while we're on the topic AM and Quartzite, there's this anamoly on 820:![]()
Potential timeshare, or is this just the Mexican database acting up again?
Ah yes, old Mexican records. You see, XEABCA used to be XEMVS-AM...
It also has the ignominious distinction of being the world's radio station on the air for the benefit of a whopping two people.
