If the rumors are true that KT'R has hired a real talk show host and if he proves to be good (a big if) then KFYI is in deep s***. KT'R already beats KFYI in news. Now, if they put some real talk hosts on the air then it's over. Could the Sun City days really be over?

whoa buddy...cart before the horse.
Sure, the annoucment would appear (on the surface) to be a step in the right direction. But just as Rome wasn't built overnight, KTAR's programming won't improve just because of one dude. B'ville should be sooo lucky.
News at 620...er 92.3 is stong, and getting stronger. But we've said it before, news can't save them!
The book should be out soon, then we'll see how small the gap is now...
My advice? Try and get Leibo back... and hey, what about Scott Conner. Ah, on second thought...scratch that.

they've replaced two reporters with several part-timers, and a fill-in talk show host?

A real talk show host likely going up against the 800 lb. gorilla that follows the 1,000 lb. gorilla of KFYI, who lost 40% of his listenership recently and still placed #1 12+. Putting a conservative with little entertainment value against one with no entertainment value. Didn't some station called 1010 do that once? And 1190? And 1100? And 1310? And I think there's also a station somewhere around 960 that's doing it now. I might have even seen their ad on a bus stop somewhere. ???
Yeah, but you forgot, .....if followed by a then is really compelling, especially when you repeat it ;D
