If we split the salary, think the CCU suits would hire the Nurse & Me? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hey Dude Boss--your job posting left something out!

"Anchor two local windows each hour during the evening,
AND record x-number of 'casts to run in the overnight hours."

Without the current temperature, of course. ;D

Unlike the direct competitor whose newsroom is staffed LIVE!
during overnights. (See Russ, I don't always say negative
things about KT'R.)

Yes, because as we all know, the difference between winning and losing in the market is whether or not the minority of the unrated listening audience knows that it's "67 degrees at 2 AM".

The line about "without the current temperature" is more a jab at the
inability of KT'R traffic reporter "Gary Bruce" to give it when he actually
was live (traffic and WX together during the late Snoozeroom), but hey,
it certainly fits here with the overnight canned newscasts.

As to the 55/FYI newsroom being unstaffed then, they're not going to
be able to tell you if a freight train carrying toxic chemicals derails on
a siding near the Buckeye Media Hut at 12:45am. (I could make a
"Minot" reference here, what with it being Cheap Channel. ;))

At least you'd hear about it on KT'R.

This is an incorrect assessment. In the aforementioned scenario, a toxic chemical spill/freight train derailment would most likely warrant an EAS activation, in such case you would hear the news on all local radio. Obviously the other flaw in your argument is that you presume that one is listening to the radio at 12:45 AM as opposed to sleeping.
