KFYI On-Air Goofs

55/FYI has been sounding like a Class IV AM in Smalltown, Montana,
during breaks in El Rushbo today. (Apologies to small market class IV
AMs that do run tight.)

Did they lay off the board ops and are trying to run Prophet in automation
mode? Two spots running at once, dead air, spots starting a second time,
tracks overlapping each other, stepping on Johnny Donovan's voice during
network rejoins.

The only semi-clean local inserts seem to be the TOH and BOH newscasts,
although the 11:06 rejoin was dirty. Heck, even on a good day, I don't
think they've ever hit El Rushbo's theme from the top at any hour's start
due to all the clutter they cram into the period after the news, not the
least of which is the annoying "...KFYI-dot-com" tagged onto most of
the promo tracks.

WHAT? Someone is listening to Kay-eff-whine-I????

Well they were #6 25-54 in the latest trend (not to mention #1 12+ but
since 12+ is a throwaway we won't mention it ;)).

Let me put out an APB for the Old Gringo asking how 55/FYI did middays
in 25-54.

These "glitches" have happened often at KFYI and I have usually heard them during the Limbaugh show. Heavy production being done in the main control room or does someone not know which channels to "pot down"?

This has been going on sporadically for months.
