KFYI signal

What's up with KFYI? They've been sounding worse than ever since I've been listening again about a month ago. The other day at about 4:30, I was listening around Central and Camelback and it sounded worse than the night signal... in my car. They've been hard to get both day and night at places they have come in well at before. When Jeff Farias comes in better than JD Hayworth on the 101 near the stadium, you've got a problem, even if 550's site is a little further east. Is anyone else noticing this or am I nuts?

I agree with you. I get KKNT and KPHX much better than KFYI where I live in Central Phoenix. (I don't listen to KTAR=AM any more, nor FM, for that matter.) Sometimes KFYI sounds like they are still on night power, makes me wonder if they have pre-sunrise authority. Also, on weekend mornings they seem to have a problem getting programs on the air.

KFWhyEye drinks that HD Kool Aid, which probably explains why their audio sounds so limp compared to other AM talk stations. All Nurse Jeff and I can guess is the CCU suits think it best to make their station sound good on the five HD receivers in the Valley, than the millions of non HD radios out there. We haven't taken a drink yet 'cause there's something so wrong about having HD in a Gremlin

I love Bruce Jacobs! Why isn't he doing anything on Fox Sports anymore?
