KGAB Cheyenne heard in Canyon Lake, TX

Wait a pain in my pass they used to be at night, just 40 miles to the west.

I was heading out to a sales call yesterday at 7AM and tuned 650 on my truck; it turned out to be KGAB out of Cheyenne. I’m guessing they were on day power, but I thought that was a decent catch.
Congratulations! There have been times that KGAB switched so early in the morning that I was dumbfounded. Also, how well did it come in for you?

Always wondered about this, since there's a bunch of mountains between Cheyenne and Laramie. Thanks!

The signal came in fair: they were coming out of a commercial and then did weather. I at first thought I still had WSM (which is the most common station on 650 here); then the KGAB calls were announced. I was quite surprised.
