KGAN News

I've learned an important lesson today.

You can run all the promos you want, change the production of the product all you want, but in the end, today it was one fabulous gold dress during the MDA Telethon which made KGAN's Josie Koler a star in this market.

I mean...DAMN. Tiffany O'Donnell never worked a dress that well on the telethon! (Keep in mind Tiff is my girl, and a former Miss Iowa, and I can STILL say that with all honesty!)

If they want to crank up viewership, SHOW THIS VIDEO on some promos.

Okay, I'll go take a cold shower now... ;)

PS. Seriously, the girl looks like she works out. She is WORKING that dress!

(Oh, and donate to MDA, too. 393-3949 or 1-800-FIGHT MD.)

PPS. Mark Anthony is a sexy beast, too! Although I understand he's already dating WMT-FM's Justin Roberts... :D

I must agree with your fashion review. I hope I'm not being sexist...but she was smoking hot. I know...I know. I'm objectifying her...but Geez Louise...I'm a man. Is anything less expected? :D

Josie could be the next Bond girl! I sense a fan club forming.

Well let's be honest...right or wrong telethons are really the local TV version of the evening gown competition for the women anchors. The men all just wear tuxedoes. But the women are expected to come up with some extravagant outfit they'd never be able to wear on the newscast.
And not everyone can pull off. So kudos are in order when the result is so absolutely stunning. 8)

Oh great....sounds like Tommy is horny again. Will someone please call Bradman and tell him it's HIS turn to give the "handy" to Mr Lang. That is....if he can find what he's looking for.

The Stick

Stinkman, you really have a lot of hate in your life.

You must be Norton in disguise.

And Tommy, yes, Josie is hot.

So is the new reporter, and sometimes anchor on KCRG. Can't think of her name right now.

Perhaps Claire Kellett or Ashley Hinson? Unless I'm missing someone.

KGAN has revamped their web site and have new opening news graphics and theme. Not bad, maybe they might actually try to get back in the news game. Both Brian and Josie are likeable enough and the weekend news crew is pretty good, Jennifer Stagg is kinda cute and Dave Towne finally puts the station back up to 3 meteorologists.

The news cast is looking more professional and looks like they are committed to improving.

Who knows maybe they might try to get back into the AM news business?

Oh my God, I just got edited for saying Tommy Lang had a -- rhymes with "cubby" for Josie. Bet I'll be edited for my reference to God......

Seriously, I think we geniuses on this board have KGAN's news ratings problem figured out. Josie needs to show more of nerself. I'll bet the male numbers would spike (so to speak). What's the sense of having a hottie like Tiffany or Josie on there if you don't show off the girls? Is the GM listening?

Captain Steve must be SO PROUD how is little cub reporter Tommy Lang is so adept at noticing breasts, legs, and the like. What I want to know is, does Captain Steve and the rest of the "staff" at the mighty KCJJ require Tommy to also notice bulges of the male weathermen? I'm sure that they cover those is the weekly airstaff meetings.

I, personally, can't wait for Tommy to post his NEXT sexist comment!

And it wouldn't be an official thread without The Stick making a snide, bitter attack against those of us still in the industry...

Oh, and Josh Baynes...hung like a freaking HORSE!

Maybe KGAN should try to send out a signal strong enough to reach antennas in its supposed viewing area. With rabbit ears, I can get stations in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Missouri, but I have to attach aluminum foil strips to the end of the rabbit ears and wrap them around our iron curtain rod just to get even a snowy signal during March Madness. Then, if I turn off the lights in my house, I might actually be able to make out the basketball! Seriously, if KGAN is worried about its ratings, it might actually try to reach part of the demographic in the area. For God's sake, I can get a much better view of March Madness out-of-market games through my DSL connection.
