KGB Signal today in Los Angeles

Please read the thread about KGB below

Please read previous threads. In the thread just below, David explained that KGB moved their transmission to a taller height, but lowered the power, while still giving them more clearance in other places. Obviously, this has dramatically increased their reach.

Garrett, the thread below is about KBIG, not KGB. Two totally different stations in two different markets.

The climate seems to help carry FM signals up the shore. Whenever it's warm here in Los Angeles, I have little or no problem picking up 91X and FM 94.9 from San Diego -- during the summertime, I can pick them up in my car almost every day.

Re: Please read the thread about KGB below

No, you USED to be able to pick up 91X. Now those annoying religious translators have more or less covered up 91X here in L.A.
I remember I used to enjoy cruising around town in the summer listening to 91X. That changed around 2001 or 2002.

Oops, Sorry folks, I deserve that....

My apologies to all. I am on cold medication, and seem to have developed momentaryn dislexia. Although, this is not the first time I've made this mistake...

However, this has developed into an interesting discussion, please continue!

Re: Please read the thread about KGB below

Unless those annoying religious translators have begun playing Matisyahu, Blink 182 and The Beastie Boys, that was 91X I was listening to on Sunday afternoon in my car.
