I took a listen to KGEN via their LaLey945.com website. Surprisingly still pretty much the same content as with the old JA ownership.
My thought is if KGEN AM 1370 (1 kw D / 72 w N both ND ) can increase power to 5 kw or so, then that signal can be used as the source for well-received K248BX My97.5 (the KVMI crossband translator). KVMI's AM array sits on a very nice chunk of farmland close to Tulare of much higher value than the dryer KGEN-AM/FM site.
Oh yes, a re-look at the KGEN-FM still shows even at the full 6kw-equivalent, KGEN-FM does not cover the COL of Hanford. There must be a waiver somewhere.
