KGHL 790 to move

I guess property on Billings west end is getting too valuable to hold radio towers.

The historic self supporters near the Zoo Drive exit will likely come down when KGHL moves to its recently approved new location by the river in Lockwood.

Not such a big deal, accept that their nighttime power will be reduced from 5kW to 1.8kW, giving them a greatly reduced coverage area after dark.

However, if you read their application on the FCC site...it appears that the station is going non-directional and thanks the nighttime skywave, it still should be a solid signal for the most part.

B-T-W...the current site is leased and the owner wishes to develop the land. The lease pre-date NNB back a previous owner or two.
