KGME Rebrands as Fox Sports 910

Many years overdue. The XTRA name became obsolete when XETRA 690 in Tijuana/SD (and CC's management of the station) went away in 2006.

Maybe to us on this board. But most listeners had no idea about the connection between the PHX/LA/SD stations so that made no difference. That being said the "Xtra" branding really never made much sense outside of XETRA and this move is indeed long overdue.

Interesting they are adding a 2 hour midday show. Is CC actually putting some money into 910 or is this a Sandusky-style pay for play sports show?

The Xtra Sports moniker had a certain cache to it in the early days of sports radio in this country in the 80s/90s or whatever at the San Diego station.

I believe Brad Cesmat used to be on from 12-2 Monday through Friday - sounds like that's not the case anymore.

Cesmat is out, replaced by something called The Freaks with Kenny and Crash. I think I'll stick with Burns & Gambo on 620. ::)
