KGOL taped loop to KQUE

The loop feed is still on KGOL since I last checked yesterday evening. The loop repeats the same message in English, maybe Spanish, and I think Urdu to tune to 1230 AM to continue to hear the programming. They are very proud of being heard in Houston 24/7 on this new station. I'm not familiar with the ethnic radio scene in Houston but has one or both stations been sold?

No, it's still the same. KGOL is owned by Entravision and KQUE belongs to Liberman.

You beat me to the post KTN Corp. This taped loop has been on the air over a week now, both day and night. Is Rehan Siddiqui buying all of this time from Entravision for the taped loop? I can't imagine they would continue that service for free. A rude observation perhaps, but for someone who is "broke" after the Biz Radio fiasco he sure has enough cash flow to run that loop on KGOL, 24 hour service on KQUE, and overnight programming on KXYZ. I certainly wish I was his kind of "broke".

I wonder if he is leasing KQUE from Liberman with the option to buy like he attempted with KTEK?

Wouldn't surprise me. Liberman finally sold KSEV (back) to Dan Patrick after leasing the signal to him for years. If they are willing to let that go, then the 1230 frequency might be on the block as well. I don't think we'll see anything happen until Rehan Siddiqi decides if the 1230 signal actually does the job he needs it to do.

I've been wondering if KEYH 850 might be headed for brokered programming. Solid daytime signal over most of the market. Even the 185 watt night signal does reasonably well in the central city.

And Liberman might want the money to pay for the 103.3 upgrade...?
