KGOW is having problems at their studio or something. Several times in the morning now I have heard dead silence on the station. This morning from when I tuned it around 6:15am to around 7:30. Even after the xmtr switch, nothing there...not even on the webstream. Had there been programming on the station, listeners would been
treated to about 1 full min of noise because it took the station about that amount of time to switch xmtrs. Speaking of that, is there any news about the station going to full-power operations 24 hours from a new site?

Perhaps thegame will come on and enlighten us -- A new sports talk program? Maybe they're stunting! An EAS test gone terribly awry? :-*
 
we were stunting. it was a form of art, actually. If you would've been listening at 6:13 you would've heard this copy:

"Good morning Houston. We know you are busy and only 1560 The Game is going to give you an opportunity to collect your thoughts and set your day up right. You are about to hear a series of three tones after which you will hear a period of silence. During this silence we at 1560 The Game encourage you to reflect on where you are in life. OK. Beautiful, sentient silence follows in three, two...and one."

Actually, the station went silent at 7:00 am. I got it back on at 7:30. It only had a few seconds of silence after 6:20. The problem at that point was an error on my part.It has been retified. I thank you for your concern.
