It's now Oldies, featuring Chuck Brinkman in the afternoon.

Re: KGVL 1400 (BIG 14)

Hello All, I love the new format on KGVL 1400AM in Greenville, TX. I hope they can get sales to work up some cash in Northeast/North TEXAS now. The only problem KGVL has is they only ran 1,000 watts day/night. I know the transmitter is in low power at 1,000 watts. They can go to high power to 5,000 watts if they file to FCC. I think they do better at 5,000 watts daytime to make it into Dallas area. I hope new format works...at onetime we thought KGVL 1400AM was going Slient...but that was paperwork problems.

Dan the MAN!!!
The NORTH TEXAS RADIO MAN!!!

KGVL can never go to 5,000 watts on 1400

but agreed love the new oldies format!

Here's to hoping for years of success to the
BIG 14 GVL!

The sports report after 5PM said the high school football game would be on "93-5 the Coyote" and KGVL Friday night. KIKT was still off the bird and "93-5 Kick" when I checked after that...but I would assume that it will be getting some sort of makeover as well.

Driving through Northeast Texas today. Got to listen to Big 14 GVL. Great selection of music !
