I wonder how much it would cost to get them to sell out. They could get a fortune for that frequency.

There is one non-comm that comes to mind in Houston. With the problems that Texas Southern is currently facing, selling 90.9 might be an avenue that the newly appointed Regents would look into. Now, that's not to say that KHCB would be even remotely interested in the signal as it's a far inferior signal to what KHCB currently has, but an option to go to an NCE frequency nonetheless.CW said:Will never happen.........no NCE freqs for them to move to and they will NEVER give up a Class C Houston freq.......unless they could BUY a NCE station then move out of the commercial band.....(Liberman wanted to approach them 4 years ago....they got a flat "NOT INTERESTED")

This is quite true, with KPFT as a close second. Since KPFT recently upgraded their signal, it stretches over quite a large chunk of real estate now.Mediafrog+ said:DJboutit3 said:90.9 might have the best range & sound for any non commerical station in Houston
If you are talking about signal coverage, KTSU is rather modest. It is treed in by KAMU in College Station, so a frequency move by one or the other would be needed for an upgrade.
KUHF is the undisputed King for non-comm signal coverage in Houston.
