KHJK HD

So, checked up on Houston's HD radio over the weekend, and to a surprise, KHJK is now in HD. (Just an awfull delay and Volume problems)

KRBE had problems with it's HD, but it is now finally fixed and back up on Sunday evening. And yes, it is sill multicasting with Jack-FM on KRBE HD2. So, this leaves Jack FM on 103.7 HD and 104.1 HD2. Kinda interesting.

KBXX turned off its HD off for some odd reason, This was nice since it allowed me to listen to KLTO in Magnolia TX. Wonder what's going on over at Radio One.

On the AM side, Don't really know if KTRH will go HD or if it was just a rumor. But I'll keep checking up on it.

Probably not until KLOL gets sold and is completely out of CC.... they like to have the Astros home games delay free!

I would love to use HDFM out in Lavaca county if I could get a good enough signal without spending a lot of cash on the antennas. I can recieve a good clean fmstereo sound with a dipole antenna, but when I hook it up to my HDRadio all I get is stereo and RDS.

Only a hardcore DX'er would want to hear a Hip Hop station from Schertz, simulcast on a signal from McQueeney, over a local Hip Hop station playing the exact same music from Houston. Nicely done, oldjohnny. I do the EXACT same thing. Says something about us doesn't it? Or at least what we think of Houston radio.

Let's just say it was the "Beat" of the moment. I also prefer KBXX over any Hip-Hop station. Second choice would be KPWT. KPTY and KBBT/KLTO both have that "lite" Hip-Hop sound every now and then and it makes both stations sound very dull.

Yep KBBT/KLTO always sounded dull to me. Thats the problem with around Austin, all the hiphop stations sound the same all 4 that I can get here are all dull. 98.5/106.7/104.9/93.3.
