KHJZ is done

yeah and now every one that liked The Wave has to buy a Hd radio to listen to it on KHJZ hd2!

WHAT the HELL were they thinking???

Hot 95-7 Sounds like a 104 KRBE wannabe. Like hell I ain't gonna buy an HD radio so I can get some of that real fine beautiful music KHJZ used to play. I think you missed The Oasis out there in Big D?

Another sad day in Smooth Jazz radio history.

Yeah! Just like CD-101.9 in New York City when it flipped from smooth jazz to AAA last month as WRXP.
That was the most sad, that is how this all started of flipping smooth jazz stations

The argument is that the demos for Smooth Jazz have gotten too old, thus it is getting the axe. There is less and less for Baby Boomers to listen to on traditional radio, at least musically. I'm part of that demo, but the only stations left that target my age group are playing music I grew tired of listening to long ago...which is why I have virtually no interest in Oldies or Classic Rock, or even the Adult AC formats.

True dat....Unless you have XM, Sirius, or and HD radio in your vehicle you can't listen to jazz music in this market.
