KHLT 99.7 to get new format

My guess is Country. Greg isnt the most creative guy in the world.

That was about my thought, too.

While I agree with you about the Stecklines not being the most creative, they were the only ones who were able to make money off of those western Kansas stations now in the hands of Rocking M. They have some creativity and talent. It's just not in the programming department!

So that's it for Regional Mexican in Wichita, at least on FM?

You can be forgiven for that! That station has rarely ever performed well. It's had multiple formats over the last 30 years or so and rarely ever amounted to more than a hill of beans with any of them.
I worked at KYQQ briefly when Steckline owned it. We had ok ratings at that time. Still behind KFDI Am and FM and KZSN. But yes....106.5 has been Urban, Soft AC, Oldies, Adult Top 40, Rythmic Top 40, Adult Top 40, Country, and Regional Mexican.

Now its KGHF 99.7 Hank FM featuring Calssic County. Looks like its identical to the Oklahoma City station. (KNAH) with the exact same name, frequency and format.

Cant find the Wichita station's stream and website tho, but a nice complement to those travelling on I-35 between OKC and Wichita now have this station almost the whole way. The midpoint between the 2 stations is a few miles north of Perry and Enid, Oklahoma.
