KHSE 700 AM

Have any of ya'll heard news on the sale of 700 AM? I thought 700 and 990 were sold together and now 990 has flipped to Spanish. Who owns 700 AM and will it ever come on the air?

Actually, I thought I heard Indian or Pakistani programming on 990 this afternoon.

Not sure what's going on with the two stations. Dave Schum owned them at one time and then they were bought at auction. Since then I think at least one of the two were sold. I thought 700 AM would be on the air by now.

Thank goodness for the remaining days of KSEV and WLW daytime reception. I hope 700 NEVER makes it on the air, because it will probably be stupid country or Spanish. BLEAH! Create another dead spot on the dial. Take out adjacents while you are at it. When will somebody with an ounce of creativity come up with a format people actually care about? Station owners have no imaginations whatsoever when it comes to formats. Random listeners shuffled iPods would be far more interesting than country or Spanish!!!

We tried to come up with a format people would actually care about --- Cafe 990 - female talk programming. But Mr. Schum's financing didn't happen and the station imploded. Seems like the big companies don't want to risk anything different and the small boys can't afford to do anything different.
I understand that the new owner of 990 is doing brokered ethnic for anyone with a checkbook. Not sure what'll happen at 700, but I'd expect the same.
