KHSL News on Bold Talk 96.7

I was wondering if anyone has noticed CBS 12 promoting that their some of their newscasts are now on the new Bold Talk 96.7, I heard it yesterday driving thru the valley. I think that they get the newscast right from the TV because Laura Ingram ended at 11:55 and an I D came at 11:56 after that it became confusing because I didn't know what I was hearing, It turned out to be the last 4 min of the young and restless. Also if anyone knows of their website could they post a link?

The board description says its for Sacramento and the valley, so I'd think that that would mean Redding to Stockton

You have a point here. However, I'd like to first point out that it says Sacramento and the Central Valley...which would imply everything from Redding to Bakersfield. and then there is the "Central California Board" for Fresno Bakersfield and Modesto. These three cities are in the Central Valley. Historically, the Redding and Chico markets have been discussed on the California Board.

Radio-Info has several inconsistencies when it comes to their market definitions.

I agree Michael. I always thought stockton was part of the Central California Board? Most stations in Modesto id as "Modesto-Stockton" and so forth. Also Clear Channel's Stockton radio stations originate from Modesto. I honestly think Radio-Info should merge both Sacramento & Central California Boards.

I have to agree with Sam. There are some topics covered on both boards, and others that seem to belong on one board, but are posted on the other.

I've tossed a coin a few times on whether to post Stockton stuff on the Sacboard or the CenCalboard...

Just as the past is always with us, the same is true for our discussion boards. The current boards lineup are a reflection of the site's evolution over the last decade. Radio-Info was not created from whole cloth. My understanding is that several sites were absorbed over the years to create our current lineup. That's why you see an unusual assortment of boards in our "Other Local Markets" section. We are evaluating board changes and you make a cogent defense for a change in some of the California regional markets.

We'll be asking users again for their suggestions regarding the layout of the boards. When we do, please be sure to include your suggestions for consolidating boards. We recently implemented numerous suggestions for site design and functionality. We'll be doing so again. Look for this on the Ask Radio-Info board in the near future.

I have another suggestion. If Stockton has to be part of Sacramento, Let's also include Modesto area (Turlock, Patterson, Ceres, etc). Then the Central California board can cover Merced down towards Bakersfield). In my opinion, Stockton & Modesto topics should be shared, regardless. Just My Two Cents! ;D

I think that's a great idea.

Same thing I was thinking, exept let's throw Chico in there too and anything north of that can go to the California Board.

Chico and Redding could go together in the California board. They share TV stations and have some overlap with radio.

Excellent Ideas! Anything North of Sacramento should belong in the California Board (Chico, Redding, Yuba City,Eureka, etc), Sacramento southward to Modesto should belong to the Sacramento-Central Valley Board, and anything south of the Modesto area towards Bakersfield should belong in the Central California Board. Until this change happens, I will continue to post Stockton Radio Topics in the Central California Board.

All of the above except for the Yuba-Sutter area which I believe should be included in Sacramento.
